Started the training run tonight with a 0.16 mile walk at 10% incline in 2.5 minutes then got into a hard run from there. Started by alternating 2 minutes at 9 mph and 1 minute at 7.2 mph – did that until I got to the 20 minute mark and then from there it was about even between the 2 speeds 1 minute at a time. This was all done at 1% incline.
It felt good to push hard – I have been taking it easier for the past couple runs but I wanted to make sure I pushed as much as I could. Felt good and while I could tell I was making the legs work they never rebelled on me so they are definitely strong right now.
Weight is coming back down now as well – I was 216.5 this morning and 218 after the run tonight. If I can avoid being too crazy this weekend (besides Canadian Thanksgiving on Monday) I should be back on track to getting the weight down for the WFPS Half Marathon on October 19th.
Feeling good!
