#trainingrun – 7.5 miles in 60 min at 1% incline – felt strong and relaxed

Run went well tonight considering I really didn’t want to get on the treadmill – Wednesdays are always a rough go – both kids have activities on Wednesday nights and once they are in bed I am feeling pretty drained and spending an hour on the treadmill sound exhausting….but I usually manage to pull it off and have a decent run.

I did 7.5 miles tonight – started with a mile at 7.2 mph then finished off the first half hour at 7.5 with no breaks, then did a half mile at 7.2, walked a minute and then got into alternating 7.5 mph and 8 mph periods for a total of 7.5 miles in an hour.  Things felt pretty good and I am more energized now than when I got on the treadmill – that is a nice sign that the training is working.

Weight was 218.5 this morning and the same after the run tonight.  I had expected my weight to be up a bit tonight due to eating a big greasy burger and fries at lunch and then a decent size supper.  So the lower weight was a nice surprise and the number tomorrow morning should be decent as well.
