#trainingrun – Sept 11, 2013 (Wednesday) – 7.42 miles in 60 minutes at 1% incline

by

218.5 when I woke up this morning and 217 after evening run

Had a 0.16 mile warm up tonight in 2.5 minutes at 5% incline.

Run was very good – actually managed to get into a zone on the treadmill which hasn’t happened in years – I rarely manage to get into a zone when running and it usually occurs when I am outside so I was quite surprised when I came out of it and realized it had happened.  Certainly helped the time pass.

Started the run at 7.5 mph for 30 minutes then for the second 30 minute I had a total of 3 minutes of walking, 7 minutes at 8 mph, 19 minutes at 7.5 mph and 1 minute at 9 mph.  I ended with the 9 mph minute following 3 minutes at 8 mph. So a total of 7.42 miles in 60 minutes.  All in all the run went very well and I had no issues and felt strong after I finished.

So definitely feeling pretty good and if I can keep up the strong training and keep the weight moving downward I have a shot at catching my personal best on the half on the Winnipeg Rotary Club half marathon on the 22nd.  That is certainly the current goal and I am going to keep pushing hard to make that happen!
