236 when woke up – 234.5 after run (was 233.5 Friday morning)

I got rolling later than expected this morning – so between that and the nice ice fog I didn’t run outside – had 45 min to run on the treadmill before Heather had to take T to curling so I pushed pretty hard and got in 5 miles in that 45 minutes with almost no walking. Felt pretty good after the run even though I only really had a protein shake before running.

I don’t seem to be spending a lot of time on the run walk cycles but my endurance does seem to still be increasing so I might try some later on after the last rough week is done – will definitely keep that technique in reserve for the longer runs and for the Goofy Challenge.

Did a bunch of running around today for Christmas shopping etc but also managed to get a bunch of prior thoughts up on the blog as posts. Managed to get through the document where I have been putting my thoughts up to now and I should be up to date. I will probably be going back and editing and cleaning them up a bit but for now at least they paint a picture of the story so far.

We will have to see what happens for tomorrow’s run – 12 miles and the weather should be nice enough to run outside but roads may be greasy. It would be good to get another outside run in even if it is slow due to slippery roads, if just to see if the faster runs on the treadmill lately translate at all to the outdoor running.

Found out I ended up with an A+ on the course I was taking so that is nice reduction in stress levels. That also completes the certificate program I was in that was taking up a bunch of time over the past year and a half. The program was 4 university level courses that I took one at a time (no time to do more than that) over the past year and a half – ended up with 2 at an A level and 2 at an A+ level so that gives me a nice GPA. It is nice to have that over with going into the Christmas season.

Going into the last tough week starting on Tuesday so there will still be a fair bit of time consumed on the running but the reduction of work for the course has already allowed me to do a bunch of work on the blog so I am looking forward to being able to do even more.
