I did not know what to expect getting on the treadmill tonight – after the knee and hamstring issues over the past week I half expected to not really be able to run at all.
Things ended up good though – I started slow and slowly increased my speed until I was splitting my time between 8 mph and 9 mph for 2-3 minute periods. I added one minute of walking at the 30 minute mark and then pushed right back into running the 8 mph / 9 mph intervals until I hit the 5 mile mark at 35:53.
Not my fastest run but still pretty speedy considering I was barely able to run at all on Sunday. I will take that and be very happy with it today.
