233.5 when woke up and 232.5 after 4 mile run in the late morning.
Took the run relatively easy – 2 minutes of walking and most of the run at 6.2 mph but some at 6.6 and a minute at 8. Nice and easy for the last training run before heading off to Disney World.
Dropped the kiddos at their Gram’s about an hour ago and now the Wife and I are finalizing packing and cleaning the house – we have a 2 stage flight on the way down and our first flight is scheduled to take off about 8 hours after I will post this. So just a little time to double check everything and get it by the front door ready to go for the morning before heading to bed.
Weather looks like it should be good for the flights down so that will help with the travel stress a bit….and of course it looks like it is going to be toasty once we hit Orlando. When thinking about this trip as a vacation I am excited about how warm it will be but then I think about it as a runner and get a touch concerned – I did not train for the heat but at least all the treadmill work I was forced into due to the cold and snow will help – a bit of a blessing in disguise there (trained to running at room temperature (which is colder than it will be at Disney but no where near as cold as it has been outside)).
Time to finish up the post and shut things down – Good luck to everyone running at Disney World this weekend!
