237.5 when I woke up this morning and 235.5 after run tonight.
Ran 6 miles in 58 minutes on the treadmill with approx 3 minutes of walking.
Was a pretty solid run and things felt pretty good. I thought things might be a bit stiff since I missed a scheduled 4 mile run yesterday but things were good in the end.
Now that the holidays are over I have to watch any kind of indulgences over the next week and try to keep the weight down. Things were a bit higher this morning than I would like so a bit more attention is necessary. I don’t really expect to lose any more weight before the Goofy but I also don’t want to regress – if I could be in the 234-235 range when I head out next week that would work for me.
I had to toss my dedicated treadmill runners today – I had been using them since September but apparently the degradation of the treadmill deck was happening longer than I realized as the right shoe is kind of twisted now. The shoes still have a few miles left on them and still have good cushion but as I started a quick warmup walk my knee started hurting and I looked down and noticed the twist in the shoe. So I had to switch to my least mileage pair of outdoor shoes – that have about 15 miles outdoors and 15 miles treadmill on them. I will use these shoes for the remainder of my training miles now and they will be my main pair for the Goofy. I had hoped to keep the mileage down on these shoes but the remaining training miles won’t hurt them too bad.
