218.5 when I woke up this morning and 215 after the morning run.

Overall the run this morning went well although I had hoped to do another lap to get me up to approx. 17.5 miles but I realized as I was getting close to the end of the last lap the fuel I had brought with me just wasn’t kicking in fast enough (or I had waited too long to start having some) and another lap was going to be a long slow slog that I didn’t have time for.  Unfortunately I had stayed up too late last night and that ended up meaning I got started too late today meaning I really didn’t have time for another 45-50 minutes of running.

As a lesson I will take away from this that on training run days I will take a small fuel belt bottle with coke in it as a quick pick me up – that will give me energy to push a little further and harder while the other fuel starts to kick in.

Schedule for today was a 3 lap run through the neighborhood which I did do so in the end I just missed some extra miles that I wanted to put in.  Basically pleased with performance today overall.

Weight was good this morning – I did manage to rehydrate as well from the big weight drop on the run and from mowing the lawn yesterday.

I spent over an hour in the pool yesterday as well with the wife and kids and didn’t end up doing too many laps but did get in a couple sets of resistance exercises which felt good.
