I essentially did the run tonight doing cycles of 2 minutes at 7 mph and 4 minutes at 8 mph (after some initial slower warm up).
It felt good to push a little harder in the 8 mph periods as I really haven’t had much of a chance to do that lately (what with having my treadmill down and my old one threatening to explode if I go to hard – ahh the fun of being a 220 pound runner!)
Dopey Challenge training continues well – I’m healthy and feeling good. Only 3 more medium hard to hard weeks to go before the taper begins. Lots of miles to go and a few real long runs but I am feeling strong and confident! Now I just need the weather to cooperate or my treadmill to get fixed….
