An interesting run tonight on the treadmill. I didn’t really feel like I had it and I never really pushed all that hard but my time for 5 miles was pretty decent. Odd.
My right knee was hurting a bit in the first couple miles but it settled down and started feeling decent.
Most of the run was done at a solid 8 mph pace with a total of 8 minutes at 9 mph and 6 minutes at 7.3 mph to rest. Cardiovascular wise things are definitely good – I’m still unsure of what my speed will be like in 3 weeks when Winnipeg Police Service Half Marathon runs. Will I be able to set a new PR? Not sure!
So far the weather forecast for the weekend looks good so I am looking at doing 4 days back to back running outside over the weekend. Looking forward to that actually. Plus it should give me a better idea of where I am heading into my first race of the season.
