#trainingrun – Sept 4, 2013 (Wednesday) – 7.37 miles in 60 minutes

222 when I woke up this morning and was 219.5 after the run tonight.

The run was very solid – maybe not the fastest but it felt very good and never felt out of breath or like I was struggling.  I did 7.37 miles at 1% incline in 60 minutes on the treadmill.  During the first half hour I started with a 1 min walk and then the remaining 29 minutes were at 7.5 mph.  The second half hour had 3 1 minute walks (every 10 minutes) and the remainder was mostly at 7.5 mph but some at 8 mph and finished with 1 minute at 9 mph.

So looks like no negative side effects from the strong run on Monday – whoohooo – definitely have to watch myself though to make sure I don’t go “well…my personal best was 11 years ago, getting my 2nd best time ever at 42 is pretty damned good – maybe I don’t need to keep pushing…”  – Can’t get complacent dammit!  Need to keep pushing!  Tomorrow is a hard 30 minute run – going to hammer it!
