Saturday Run

Saturday Jan 19, 2013 – was 231 when I woke up and 229.5 after the run

First mid level run since the Goofy Challenge and I had no pain or endurance issues but my head really wasn’t in it.

I did 6.4 miles in 1 hour – 6 minutes of walking with most of the rest of the run at 6.6 mph but some was at 6.2 and I managed to force a few periods of 7 mph (for a total of approx 15 minutes) and did the last minute of the run at 8 and 9 mph.

The first half of the run was a tough go – I kept wanting to walk and run slower even though I could tell I had endurance and my body was feeling well.  I was tired but not overly so.  After I got the first half in it was just a matter of pushing to finish the rest of the hour.

I am in a weird spot in my training right now – with the come down from the Goofy and the fact that I am going on vacation next week with the family for 2 weeks I am having trouble getting focused on the running.  My weight is staying nice and steady right now which is good but I will have to make sure to do some strong focused runs this week before going on vacation.
